My Knew Nives

My Knew Nives

Aha...I ordered these about a month ago and have been looking forward to their arrival ever since. I finally get a cleaver of my own. I have used one in the past couple of houses that I lived in and always wanted one of my own. I love the weight on them. Also there is a 7 in. Santoku knife, a 9 in bread knife, a 5 in serated knife, and a paring knife. All on a new magnetic holder.

That looks dangerous. what if the magnet loses it's power and the knives fall on your feet?

Where did you order these from? What brand are they?

Sylvie, magnets don't just lose power like that. Anyway, I recomment the magnet holder to anyone with pretty knives.

1. They can be put well out of the way and don't take up drawer or counter space.
2. Knives in a drawer are just asking for trouble. It's like sticking your fingers in a blender.
3. Wood blocks are breeding grounds for bacteria especially by putting sorta wet knives in and never washing it.
4. The blades stay sharper longer becasue they are always sliding against themselves or wood from the block.
5. And finally, they just look pretty. Sounds like a little scary too. I am a scary guy you know.

Chrispy, they are Wusthoff. They food service company that I pack boxes for has an annual event where we can order knives 40-50% off of store prices.

I know you are going all domestic and I highly recommend collecting the Bed, Bath and Beyond coupons. They are great to have on hand. Some things to know about them. You CAN use them after they've expired. You CAN use up to 5 of them even though it says only one purchase each visit. Also, hold on to Linen n' Things coupons as well because both of those places take competitors coupons. If you use them at the competitors, they do have to be within the expiration date. Damn, this should have been a straight up blog entry.
